FREIGHT & DELIVERY POLICY
All products listed on our website have a dispatch time frame; the dispatch time frame is measured as commencing the day after a credit card order has been placed or the day after the bank deposit has been confirmed in our account, and is a business day measurement being Monday to Friday. We will endeavour to dispatch your order within the time frame specified in relation to a particular product. If we are unable to dispatch your order within the time frame specified we will contact you and advise you of the expected dispatch date. Any quotations of delivery times by us are made in good faith but are estimates and we shall not be bound by such quotation and we will not be liable for any loss, expense, or other damage caused by any delay in delivery. If multiple products are purchased with varying dispatch time frames, we reserve the right to dispatch your order in one delivery, which will be using the longest dispatch time frame.
Delivery of an Order will be deemed to be completed when we hand the Products over to the carrier, and the Products will be your responsibility from that time. We do not accept responsibility for CourierPost, PBT Couriers, New Zealand Post or any other third party delivery. Some of our delivery methods require signature so it is strongly recommended for deliveries to be made to street addresses and addresses that are occupied during the day whether it be residential or business to avoid any delays. Parcels cannot be delivered to a PO Box and all orders sent to a business address require the business details otherwise the courier companies will not deliver. If Parcels are returned to our warehouse as either no address or insufficient address details then a re-sending cost of freight will apply and must be paid by the purchaser before the item gets resent.
Free Freight promotions only apply to $6 freight costs, if your order is rural delivery or international then a $6 credit will be applied to your order to reduce your freight cost. The freight delivery charge of $6 has some exceptions. Deliveries to Chatham Island, Stewart Island, Kawau Island, Waiheke Island, Matakana Island, Great Barrier Island, d’Urville Island or any other outer island will incur additional costs. Rural Delivery is determined by the courier option required for the order and is based on our couriers companies rural zoning NOT NZ Posts zoning. If a Rural address is provided and standard delivery selected at checkout then an email will be sent requesting the rural surcharge short-fall, if not paid the order will be cancelled after 3 days.
INTERNATIONAL ORDERS
PlasticModels will only ship to New Zealand & Australia. All payments must be in the form of New Zealand dollar currency. In most cases we offer International Airmail Parcel Post or International Economy Parcel Post, both these options do not offer a tracking service. Under no circumstances will we falsify invoices or shipping labels. Customer is responsible for any applicable taxes, duties or custom fees. Inquiries regarding possible fees should be directed to your local authorities. Refused packages will affect your return credit. Credit card payments only are accepted for international orders. Please do not request that we falsify invoices or suppress tariff codes or country-of-origin information. PlasticModels has the right to either decline an international order based on insufficient freight or offer a quote of actual freight costs of which can be accepted by the customer and charged to the customer before the goods are shipped. International orders made by credit card may be requested to obtain an authorisation code from their bank for the transaction, this verifies the transaction as being genuine and limits PlasticModels of the risk of fraud by use of stolen credit cards. Please do not be offended if we ask for this information. Without confirmation of the authorisation code your order will not be dispatched from our warehouse. COVID19 has also restricted postal services to some countries, these services are continually updated as global border restriction change. Any returned orders from non-delivery in the recipients country can be resent at the purchasers cost. If you place an order and select New Zealand as your address for delivery which will charge the local shipping rather than the international rate, then the order will be cancelled and refunded.
Some products sold by PlasticModels are prohibited for export, these products can include batteries, paints, solvents, dopes, and likes, it is the responsibility of the purchaser to enquire first to ensure that the purchased items can be sent, NZ Post Prohibited Items web page would be a good source of information or their free phone . If a product has been sent from New Zealand it has been accepted by our customs and released for export sales, if any items have been removed due to confiscation from the purchasers countries customs the liability will be with the purchaser and not PlasticModels. No replacement product can be offered to cover actions taken by the purchasers countries customs or Government Department.
PRODUCT STOCK LEVELS
PlasticModels stock level system is updated weekly and sometimes over sales can occur especially with Special Newsletters. If multiple sales are received and a product is oversold then the over sales will be notified by e-mail and refunded in full. This also applies to Facebook Specials where sales exceed stock levels, the sale will be allocated in time order and full refunds will be made if oversold, no rain checks.
ORDER CANCELLATION FEE
If an order has been paid for by credit card and is requested to be cancelled before it is dispatched there is a cancellation fee that applies. The fee is 6% of the sale or a minimum of $6 which ever is the greater. This fee covers the merchant cost that PlasticModels has been charged for the original purchase and also the refund. Orders will also be cancelled without notification if direct deposit is selected and no payment is made within three business days.
POST RETURNED ORDERS
If an order is returned due to incorrect address provided then the customer can choose to either have the item resent to a new address with an additional freight charge or the ordered cancelled and refunded as per the Order Cancellation Fee policy from the item value only excluding the freight.
CURRENCY
The checkout currency is New Zealand Dollars and all prices include Goods and Services Tax (GST).
RETURNED GOODS
Goods can be returned to PlasticModels for a full refund if you are dissatisfied with the product or the product did not work as per advertised. It is important to note that returned goods will only be refunded if they are received back in the original condition they were purchased in which includes any bags, boxes and header cards and must be returned within 30 days of the purchase date. The return freight cost & packaging is the responsibility of the purchaser not PlasticModels.
SECURITY OF YOUR LOGIN
You are responsible for keeping your login information, including your email address and password, secret and secure. Without limiting the foregoing, you agree not to permit any other person to use your user name or membership and not to disclose, or provide to any other person, your password, email address, date of birth or any other information in connection with your membership that may allow them to gain access to your membership.
NEWSLETTER
By purchasing a product through PlasticModels automatically registers you to our newsletter. Our newsletter provides information around new products, special deals, discounted freight periods, Facebook links and any other material that relates to PlasticModels or the parent company RS3 Group Limited. You can e-mail us if you choose to unsubscribe from the newsletter or you can click the unsubscribe link on the bottom of a newsletter.
SCRATCH AND DENT
Scratch and Dent products are sold as either returned items, damaged items or damaged boxes. Scratch and Dent purchases are non-refundable and are sold in good faith with no warranty or guarantee covering the product. Any purchases made through Scratch and Dent are non-refundable.
WEBSITE CONTENT
All content on the PlasticModels web site, including art work, graphics, images, screen shots, text, music, digitally downloadable files, trademarks, logos, product and character names, slogans, and the compilation of the foregoing ("Content") is the property of PlasticModels and its licensors, and is protected under international trademark, copyright and intellectual property laws. Third party content, including trademarks, trade names, characters, and trademarks and copyrights is the property of the third parties that market or license that content, and is used by PlasticModels subject to licence, or subject to the fair use provisions of international trademark law. Users of the PlasticModels web site are forbidden to misuse any PlasticModels content or any third party content that appears on the web site.
WARRANTY DISCLAIMER
PlasticModels makes no representations about the reliability of the features of the PlasticModels web site, and disclaims all liability in the event of any service failure. You acknowledge that any reliance on such material and/or systems will be at your own risk. PlasticModels makes no representations regarding the amount of time that content on its site will be preserved.
PRIVACY POLICY
When you create an account with PlasticModels you need to provide some personal information, such as your name, email address, and mailing address. PlasticModels uses your email address to provide you with promotional material so you can be kept up to date with new products and website enhancements. If you choose not to receive this information you may not receive special offers that could be of value to you. PlasticModels will not sell, rent or trade the personal information you provide online.
REFUND POLICY
All refunds are made at the full discretion of the PlasticModels management. All refunds due to no stock will be made at 100% including freight, any refunds for international orders will be made in full but PlasticModels has no liability for the difference in exchange rates when credits are made back to credit cards or any bank fees or credit card fees that may be charged.
DISPUTES POLICY
PlasticModels is proud of the products and services we are able to provide and hold a high commitment to quality. If you are not happy with the product you have received from us please email sales@plasticmodels.co.nz quoting your order number and the nature of your concern. We will contact you within 24 hours of receiving your email.
CHANGES TO OUR TERMS AND CONDITIONS
PlasticModels reserves the right to change our terms and conditions at any time. Please check this page periodically for changes. Your continued use of our site following the posting of changes to these terms will mean you accept those changes. Information collected prior to the time any change is posted will be used according to the rules and laws that applied at the time the information was collected.
